Celebrating 15 Years of Collective Action Towards Ed-Equity
Artivism 101
In Artivism 101, participants will deep dive into the dynamic intersection of art and activism, discovering how multimedia arts can ignite grassroots change. Grounded in Nazaria’s Social Justice Arts Framework, this hands-on workshop guides participants through zine-making and portrait photography as they explore four key themes: Pehchan (Identity), Awaaz (Voice), Nazaria (Perspective), and Badlaav (Change).
Co-facilitated by Nazaria’s own teenage Kalakars, who will share insights from their personal journeys as emerging Artivists, the session offers a window into the transformative power of arts and media in fostering creative expression, voice and agency, and greater self and social consciousness among children and youth. Whether you’re an educator, artist, or simply curious to learn more, this workshop will leave you with practical storytelling tools, fresh perspectives, and a renewed sense of jazba.
Venue: Art Room (9th floor)
Time: 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
