This interactive space will bring together government officials, CSO leaders and Teach For India Alumni to explore innovative approaches to enhancing educational outcomes thorugh Public Private Partnerships. Target Audience: Government officials working as Education Officers/District Education Officers in the Education Department of the Teach For India regions and TFI alumni who work in partnerships and intend to engage with the government.

Raj Gilda

Raj Gilda is a banker turned social entrepreneur and co-founder of Lend-A-Hand India, an organization focused on providing vocational education in secondary schools covering 10,000+ schools in 24 states across India with 1 million students. Raj has worked across Asia, Europe, and North America in education, banking, insurance, and IT. Before leaving the corporate sector in 2011, he spent ten years in New York working with Citibank and Deloitte Consulting. Raj was appointed by the Government of India as a General Body Member of the National Skill Development Agency (2014-17). He has been an advisor to the Government of Maharashtra and a state-level committee member on the effective utilization of CSR resources in education.

Jayshree Oberoi

Jayshree has an extensive and diverse background in both national and international NGOs and governments in India and the United States. A teacher at heart, she has worked in various domains including school development, environmental conservation, socio-emotional learning, people development, and project management.For the past 12 years, Jayshree has held leadership roles at the Akanksha Foundation, including as a school leader and Senior Director of Schools in Pune.
Recently, she has taken on the 'Multiply Initiative' within the organization, focusing on collaborating with government schools to scale best practices for school transformation and improve learning outcomes for over sixty thousand children.

Wendy Kopp

Wendy Kopp is CEO and Co-founder of Teach For All, a global network of independent organizations that are cultivating their nations’ promising future leaders to ensure their most marginalized children have the chance to fulfill their true potential. Wendy founded Teach For America in 1989 to marshal the energy of her generation against educational inequity in the United States. After leading Teach For America’s growth and development for 24 years, in 2013, Wendy transitioned out of the role of CEO. Wendy led the development of Teach For All to be responsive to the initiative of inspiring social entrepreneurs around the world who were determined to adapt this approach in their own countries. Currently, the Teach For All network is comprised of partner organizations in 53 countries on six continents, including its founding partners Teach For America and the U.K.’s Teach First.

Soumya Jain

Soumya is the Founder and CEO of iTeach Schools, which operates 12 free and high-quality secondary schools and an exceptional college-to-career program, serving students from the most disadvantaged households in Pune & Mumbai.In an advisory capacity, he serves on the Advisory Boards of Teach For India, The Circle, Ashraya Initiative for Children, and MIT WPU Board of Studies. Prior to this, Soumya spent two years teaching in a low-income school as part of his Teach For India Fellowship and four years designing embedded software at Lutron Electronics USA.
